Our Sight Program

Myopia is considered a global public health crisis due to its increasing prevalence. Data has shown that patients with all levels of myopia are at an increased risk for complications, including open-angle glaucoma, retinal detachment, cataracts, and myopic maculopathy, which can lead to permanent vision loss. With new treatment availability, effectiveness, and safety, myopia management is becoming the standard of care for pediatric patients showing signs of myopia and rapid myopia progression.

At DMV Vision, we are passionate about caring for our pediatric patients. We believe that early intervention is key to preventing more serious eye problems down the line. Our doctors are dedicated to providing the highest quality care to ensure your child's vision and eyes remain healthy and strong.

Corneal Reshaping Therapy (Ortho-K)

Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) or corneal reshaping therapy is a non-surgical and non-invasive procedure that involves using specially designed rigid contact lenses to reshape the cornea's surface. These lenses are worn at night and provide clear and comfortable vision during the day without the need of glasses or contact lenses.

Soft Multifocal Contact Lenses

Soft contact lenses designed for myopia control use a specific optical design to stop retinal elongation, which reduces eye elongation and halts myopia growth. These lenses offer patients clear and comfortable vision while providing dual-action therapeutic effects when worn during the day.

Atropine Eye Drops

Compounded atropine eye drops have gained attention as a therapeutic option for myopia treatment. This medication can be used either as monotherapy or as an adjunct therapy in certain cases. As research in this area continues, atropine eye drops remain a topic of interest in the field of optometry and ophthalmology.
